Well, our first major injury with Ty. He was pushing a toy on the driveway, it hit a bump and stopped...Ty went over the top and landed on his forehead on the concrete. When I picked him up from his fall I only saw the abrasion. After mere seconds, the biggest goose egg I have EVER seen appeared. I really did start to feel faint and I had to come inside to get something cool to drink, etc. Thank goodness there were lots of neighbors over to help Ty outside while I was inside tending to my weak stomach. (There's a reason why I'm not in the medical profession.) Danny pulled up a few minutes later and we were able to schedule a doctor's appointment tonight. The doctor said he is fine. Danny and I on the other hand.....Is this what raising a boy has in store?

hey, I don't even have kids and I know they are resilient as heck! You can get whacked on the head a hell of a lot harder than that and still turn out ok. Look at me!! (ok, maybe I'm a bad example.. ; )
PS - if you have such a queasy stomach how did you get through all the dirty diapers and puke???
It's not the dirty diapers or puke that gets me...it's basically anything where pain would be involved (blood, guts, etc.)
When I took James to the dr last week, I asked about stuff like this and was told that outies are OK, innies are bad! Works to live by.
Good to know! When the doc started pressing on it (yuck) he told us that soft was good, hard was bad, along with vomitting more than 3 times.
