have thought that when I left the house this morning that I was going to flip my Explorer over. It is snowing today and the roads were in pretty bad shape. I spun out, my car went over the embankment and down I went into a field. I had to crawl out of the sunroof to get out. The driver side mirror was smashed to pieces and the back left tire/wheel was also crumpled like a used napkin. Fortunately I am ok and the worst part of this has become a financial inconvenience. Here's the rundown of what I got for Christmas:
1) $110 ticket from the Sheriff for "failure to control"
2) $110 in lost wages...I'm a substitute. If I don't work, I don't get paid.
3) $500 deductible
Hey, the car is easier to fix than I am.
Tonight Danny and I are going back to the dealership to gather some things...car seats, the frozen meal I took for lunch today that should still be frozen because it's 29 degrees out, the Power Ranger video frozen to the driver window from the coffee that spilled during the wreck, etc. Maybe I can get some pictures then.
Do you think I can get out of cooking dinner tonight because I was in a wreck?

sara! I am so glad you are ok. Janice called me this morning and started with "sara was in an accident" and my heart just sank. Someone was looking out for you!
and yes the financial burden sucks but you are right money couldn't replace you!!
I agree...someone was looking out for me! I went to church last Sunday for the first time in a few months...
Oh my gosh, that is awful! I'm glad you're okay. The finance stuff SUCKS, but at least you're okay!
Thank God you are okay--yes, someitmes He will use any means necessary to get through...And as for the money,... its always something, might as well go ahead and eat dinner out tonight!
When the phone rang at 7:45 and it was Danny, I think my mom knew something was wrong, but we are all glad you are ok! And thank God the kids were not with you! It could've been much worse!
Whew!!!! A car can be replaced. Our little miss Sweet T cannot!!

I hate car accidents!! I also cannot believe you got a ticket. I guess they just need extra money. Thank goodness you are fine, but it is still ok to be mad about the wrecked car.
