my annual weather post

It's that time of year to again announce that the weather where we live is official awful. Highs right now are in the high 30's with light snow already falling. Nothing is accumulating, but falling is bad enough. And to top it all off, I looked up the weather in Clemson tomorrow and it's going to be 54 and sunny. Grrrrrr.

On a brighter note, Ty's 4th birthday is Monday and we are having his party at the house tomorrow. Fourteen toddlers will be coming to celebrate at his Batman party and we are all so excited! His enthusiasm is contagious! I know that most people think this is out of order, but I had my carpets cleaned today before the party. I had to remind my coworkers that I have 2 kids and a dog...my carpets needed cleaning before I invited everyone into the house! I'll share pics eventually. In keeping with my posting schedule, you will see them in December and then be able to view pics from Christmas in February!

Danny and I are going to the Harry Connick Jr. holiday concert this Thursday. We were so excited to have a date night together. We have the kids staying overnight with their sitter, I was going to come back from work and change into a cool outfit, but no, I overbooked myself. Conferences are on the same day and run from 3-8 pm. (Concert starts at 7:30) Because we work the time after school we are given the day before Thanksgiving as a comp day. I have to work the full conference time. So what was going to be a relaxing, awesome evening, is going to be a go-go-go busy, probably draining day that hopefully still ends as an awesome evening.

I have been thinking about buying another Pampered Chef stone because of how often I use mine. I always get frustrated when I make cookies that I can't make the entire batch on a stone and have to settle with half being on old cookie sheets. Well, of course I love to talk to everyone, and a random run-in with a nice Pampered Chef consultant in the dentist office waiting room, ended with me hosting a catalog party at school. (Turns out I taught her nephew last year!) I had the catalogs available for only 1 week and had almost $400 in sales! I have ended up with 1 stone 60% off and $40 worth of free merchandise! Those numbers totally appeal to my coupon-queen-self!
