Another 3 inches of snow today. The weatherman said it would start snowing around 3pm and would last into the late evening. Well, it started around noon and by 3pm we had 3 inches...I'd say they missed the forecast a little. I still didn't put Katie out in it. She asked to go outside but I was able to distract her with her favorite movie, "Baby Neptune", and I was able to make dinner. She has all of the equipment except for snow pants and I think she would have fun exploring, but I just haven't wanted to deal with it. Bad Mom.
Happened upon a fight at school on Thursday. J and B are both sophomores and each have their own "issues". J is EH and is on meds WAY beyond Ritalin. B justs like to run his mouth for attention because he has confidence issues. I teach B in algebra and have J in study hall. I am familiar with each of their personalities and "issues" but didn't realize that they were enemies. As I was walking to class on Thursday I found myself right beside them in the hallway as J was punching B in the gut. B fell to the ground on his knees and I was standing there with my mouth open. I said to J, "Is this real?", thinking that they were rough-housing. J quickly let me know "yeah, this is g.d. real, he's been..." and the story/cussing continued as I escorted them to the office. I made them walk single file so they wouldn't start fighting again (I'm bigger than each of them and I wasn't afraid of what B would do, but I really expected J to start the up blows again!). I got them to the office and the only administrator in the building was the AD. What? No principal, vice principals (we have 4), no dean of students? The AD? Oh well, not my problem anymore.
During my weekly grocery store trip on Saturday, I saved around $30 in coupons and card savings. My bill was $102 and I ended up paying $68!
I watched the Miss America pageant last night and I was very confident that I knew exactly who the top three were going to be. I have to admit that Miss Indiana slipped my radar. Don't get me wrong, she did a great job throughout the night (obviously) but I just didn't recognize it. I can't even remember what her talent was because I was so focused on "my" girls....Miss Florida (who had "made-up talent" and lost it there), Miss Georgia (lost it during the interview question) and Miss California, who was in the top 3. So, did Miss Indiana do the swan ballet? Really, I can't remember. And is anyone else annoyed by the "made-up talent" that shows up?

So...definitely need some tips and tricks on the coupon front! Are you using more than just the ones that come in the Sunday paper? I think you should do a post just on coupons. I'd love to save $30!
