Well, I jinxed myself and I got sick. A pretty bad sinus infection that caused some major pain in my upper jaw/teeth area. Ended up with a Z Pack and after 5 days I feel whole again! Now everyone in the house is well and even the students at school are doing better. I saw an article that said the flu is supposed to peak around Oct. 15th. I think it peaked at our school already. I was averaging 6-8 absent students per class period. I even had a few students that missed the entire week. Several flu cases but mostly sinus/ear infections. Fun stuff.
Katie had her first time out at day care for basically being mean to one of her little friends. She's sassy. Period.
Ty has started to say his prayers on a regular basis and starts out so cute with lots of "Dear Lords" and "Dear Gods". For example, a typical prayer goes something like this:
"Dear Lord, Dear God, thank you Lord, thank you God and Lord...and God. Thank you for cool tricks and for power. [note: Ty is a still wanna-be Power Ranger] Thank you for Big John in Heaven and thank you for my pillow, my sheet, my blanket and my bed. Amen."
It's quite cute and I'm glad that I am forced to make "pretty hands" and bury my nose to my knuckles like Ty so that he doesn't see me smiling.

That reminds me when my brother was little and mom used to make him say grace. Except he's a smartass - even at 4 - and pulled out the "rubbadub dub, thanks for the grub, amen" routine. Mom was NOT happy about that... (i have NO idea where he learned it... ; )
