Ghosted

We were "ghosted" by one of our neighbors. If you aren't familiar with the concept, here's the low-down. In the dark of night, a friendly, neighborly "ghost" drops a Halloween bucket full of goodies on your doorstep, knocks, and scurries away. The "ghost-ee" opens the door and much to his/her surprise there's fruit snacks, chocolate, etc. for all (unless said parents eat all of the chocolate before the kid realizes and only offers fruit snacks to said kid). Also in the bucket are printed instructions that within 2 days, the "ghost-ee" must become a "ghost-er" to 2 other neighbors, they must inlclude a copy of the rules and a blank copy of the ghost for the new "ghost-ee", and they must also post included ghost on their front door to alert future "ghost-ers" that the house has already been "ghosted". Got it?

our neighborhood isn't cool like that. we aren't friendly to one another.... we dont' do cool stuff like that. You try it and you may get yelled at or something - you know - for stepping on someone's lawn or something...

Ok, this does sound like fun, but you'll have to read my blog in a few days to find out why it wouldn't happen at my house, it has nothing to do with the fact that my neighbor smokes crack, although that is a drawback...
Zookeeper, I think you should let the dogs out at night to leave their own "ghost droppings" in the crusty old neighbors yard.

What kind of chocolate??

1 Snickers, 2 M&Ms and 1 Twix. I took the Snickers and the Twix before D could even take a breath b/c I love me some caramel (pronounced care-a-mel, NOT car-mul). The caramel delight Girl Scout cookies were my favorite growing up.

ok--who says car-mul? I mean I get the whole puh-can vs pee can debate, but are there really people who screw up the most delicious thing in the world?? We have a restaurant that serves deep fried cheesecake smothered in caramel--it is delicious!!

after much thought and saying the word over and over again--I think I mean to say car-a-mel, but it might come out mshed together into carmel occassionally... Who cares? just pass some!

CARE-A-MEL Forever!

Samoas...I don't think so.

Melanie- very cool to include the Wikipedia link. I never knew the reason for the difference in names. Having had both Caramel (please pronounce correctly) Delights and Samoas, I can say that I like caramel delights better.

As for MadHatter's cheesecake, HOW IN THE WORLD did D's family never know about this? I feel robbed.
