Yep, saw it on the sign coming home tonight. Makes us appreciate the company car with company gas even more. Hate to report that the program is being eliminated and we lose the perks in July.
Katie has a summer cold and it's wierd to have to take tissues to the park. Again, I sing the praises of the plug-in type products that help our little ones breathe at night and let Mom and Dad sleep.
I would like to brag about our weather for the last few days. In the middle of June, I was able to turn off the air conditioner, open the windows and have the thermostat read "66 degrees" in the middle of the day. We obviously had a cold front pass over and send us the most pleasant 73 degree weather. I took the kids to the zoo, we went to the park, etc. without breaking a sweat. During the night it was so chilly (which was a little wierd for the summer) that I really could have worn a full sweatsuit and been comfortable.
I entered PW's most recent giveaway (hey, why not) and my comment was #9748, or something close. Can you imagine having almost 10,000 comments to one post? See, I told you she had an audience.

I think I was the comment right after you!
We've been paying $4.00 a while now for gas, it's unbelievable. And we don't have any public transportation around here (except our feet :-) ), so we are strapped.
And I can't imagine having over 10,000 hits on my blog a day. Of course, I am no where near as well a writer or photographer and PW is. I think I kinda like being a little anonymous. :-)
I am still SO jealous that you have probably THE best zoo in the US in your back yard. Really - don't take it for granted!!!
And to balance out my jealously of your zoo let me lay this one on ya - We pay $4.19 for 87 octane. Yeah - let that sink in for a bit - and I put 89 octane in my truck in the summer (at $4.29 right now) and 93 octane in the winter because it's getting old and I want her to last as long as possible. (93 is at $4.39 or $4.49 right now, I can't remember b/c I'm actually not buying it.)
I know -get rid of my Explorer. I won't. I love it. I won't even get a newer on b/c I love this one so much. She's my pride and joy - My Green Gertie. Maybe I should just blog about this and stop making such a long comment...
$3.73 in the Spartanburg area. It sucks though b/c like Andee I have a commute to work everyday so I'm almost paying another entire car payment in gas right now.
Can you imagine if one of us had 10,000 comments on one of our blogs? I'm happy with one or two. I'm finding out though that more people read it than I thought. Every now and then I see a relative I haven't seen in awhile and they say, "oh right, I read about that on your blog." Whoah...this thing really works!!
