I also made an easy dessert yesterday that Danny learned of at work. It's messy and a little time consuming to make, but good! So, if you continue to read, you are not to judge the appearance of the preparation. It's not Southern Living! With that being said, I'm not sure what the official title is, but I call them Oreo-Cream Cheese Balls. There are only 3 ingredients.
Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature and run the entire bag (minus the 1 or 2 you have to test for quality control) of Oreo's through the food processor until they are finely ground. When the cream cheese is fully softened use a hand mixer to incorporate the Oreo crumbs into the cream cheese. You will end up with a black dough looking substance.
Then roll the Oreo "dough" into little balls and place on a wax-paper lined cookie sheet.
After the chocolate melts, you have to dip each ball (prune) into the melted white chocolate and place it on the wax paper, where it will harden into deliciousness (I recommend overnight in the refridgerator for best results.) I didn't get a picture of the finished product because I had a hard time getting them dipped into the chocolate and fully covered, so they weren't as pretty as I would have liked. (If you have any tips about dipping items into chocolate and looking finished, please share!)

Do you toothpicks to dip with?? Might make an easier go of it.
It does look like they'd be good - but I have to admit - I'm probably the one person out there that doesn't like Oreos! Ok - I like the cookie part - I don't like the filling. (LOVE oreo crusts!!!)
oh - and if the balls fall off the toothpicks stick 'em in the fridge fora while to firm up first... sorry shoulda mentioned that before.
I have had this desert and it is quite yummy. I would like to mention that should you not eat all of it in one sitting, refrigerate the leftovers. Not that my M-I-L left them on the counter and they got rancid or anything--near heresy!
I like your recipe's. :-) Yummy yummy deliciousness. Except I don't have a food processor. Wait, what? I don't have a food processor? Oh right. I don't cook. :-)
I do still make those little apple dumplings that you posted a long time ago. Yum, yum!
OMG! That sounds awesome. Going to have to try it once I get my life together. Working overtime, trying to paint a new house, getting used to a new house, chasing the dog around a new neighborhood, using sheets as blinds...you get the picture. Disaray!!!
