Guess what I got...
...a new coffee pot! I know, it's not anything sparkling and expensive, but it's my new favorite toy (like Danny' new weed eater)! I'm the coffee drinker in the house so when we got to the coffee pot aisle, the choice was all mine. I compare my enthusiasm for the trip to Ty's experience a few rows over in the Star Wars toy aisle! Hmmmm, do I go for the Senseo "one pot wonder", the double carafe "regular or decaf", or the 12-cupper perfect for entertaining? The choices also ranged in price from $10 to $150. Fortunately, the children were behaving and I had all the time in the world to decide! I finally decided on the good 'ole Black and Decker with a stainless thermos carafe. This thing is awesome. When the pot is finished brewing it automatically turns off and the thermos keeps the coffee warm without getting bitter. Mmmmmm, I love a good cup of coffee in the morning. Man, do I sound old. Good thing I don't have one of those plastic fold-up hoodie things in my purse for rainy days, or I would really be confused for a 70-something. (thank you MH for reminding us about those fold-up hoodie things!)

YOu know - I bought a nice coffee pot several years ago just for when dad visits. (BTW - I bought the Senseo first and hated it!!! ended up givign it away..) But this last visit I left it out and have been making coffee at home on the weekends. I drink it at work during the week... just never got around to making it at home on the weekends... usually tea... but now back to coffee... but it's just me, D won't touch the stuff...
Coffee--sweet nectar! And if you had a plastic rain bonnett you could probably fashion it into a coffee mug for those desperate times. And if you're carrying the bonnett ya know ya got a little sanka packet in your purse!
and if I have a Sanka packet, then I also have a little baggie of all of the individual packets of creamer and a few tea bags (you never know) that I have collected from my time spent at Holiday Inns
You guys are crackin' me up!! and boy do I need it today!!!
ZK, as an added bonus if SweetT will send you some of her sanka and sweetnlow, i'll send you some ketchup and chinese hot mustard that I have in my purse--just if you need the pick me up
please tell me you're kidding... really... you don't really have that in your purse...
