I have enough stuff happening that I have to choose what to not do...blog, laundry, dishes, grading, etc. Unfortunatly, blogging always falls to the bottom (with dishes a close 2nd). Danny is in the process of returning from a week long trip to Canada and that always throws me off, mainly because the kids are thrown off. Ty had an awful time on Danny's first evening gone and pitched a tee-total fit. He ran around the house twice (with me chasing him on the 2nd lap) because he didn't want to come inside to take a bath. Katie was inside and I had to decide which child was in the most danger of being left alone. Was Katie going to climb the stairs and tumble down if I stayed outside to catch Ty or was Ty going to run in the street if I went in to check on Katie? Katie ended up never going near the stairs because she was glued to the window watching her brother run around the house.
School is awesome and I love it. I am going to test or quiz in all of my classes next week and that will create a good bit of grading for me. I teach right at 100 students and we just finished the 1st 9 weeks. Report Cards went out today, as a matter of fact. It's hard to believe that we are 1/4 of the way through the year! All of my classes are meshing, personality-wise, except for my 8th period class. I teach freshmen at the end of the day and that makes for a tough combination. There are a few strong personalities that I have had sway to my corner and it's finally starting to happen.
As for the election, I am truly undecided. I can argue points for each candidate but haven't yet decided which argument is the one that is going to sway me. I have an absentee ballot on the kitchen counter and my goal is to mail it on Monday.
There's more I want to write, but Ty is calling out for attention. I'll have to say this is it for now, but know that I miss y'all...people from my past, my roots, my home.
