Happy Anniversary to Georgia Mom! She mentioned having a hard time finding pictures of herself and her honey...we are having a similar problem here. I am supposed to send a family picture to school with Ty and we have 3 in the house...two of which are not going with him. One is a framed 8x10 (don't think the glass would be appropriate), one has us all in bathing suits (no explaination needed) and the third, which I think is the winner, is from Halloween 2 years ago. Halloween 2007 it is!
I have really been taking advantage of the $0.01 deals at Staples recently! If you are a teacher and not aware of their Teacher Rewards Program...it's time. I noticed a commercial for Office Max advertising the start of their penny deals. Oh yeah baby, here I come!
Ty has been at his new school for 2 days now and seems to be enjoying it. Of course I am having trouble finding out how he feels the day is going (common theme the last few days in our blog world!) but his teacher, Miss Liz, says he is doing great! What I do know is that Ty has not been falling asleep during nap time. They turn the lights off and play soothing music but are allowed to play with quiet toys if they don't want to sleep. The class that he is in is filled with the age of children where some sleep and some don't. He still takes naps at home on the weekends but I'm curious to see if this pattern continues of if the new-ness of school wears off and he finally lets himself get some rest.
School starts in two weeks and I have started having dreams about starting the school year. I have been spending a lot of time at school lately preparing for back-to-school week because of a position that I hold at school and it's seems to be haunting me! I dreamed last night that I had 52 freshmen for algebra 1 in a science classroom, where the students had to sit at round tables not desks. Then the administrators delivered one of my students in handcuffs and told me they would be back to get him after class. Hhhhhheeeeelllllpppppp! I guess whatever really happens can't be any worse than the dream, so I should stay positive!

Thanks! :-)
I'm so glad that Ty is doing well - I know the anxiety that you had that he wouldn't like the new school.
And I have been having crazy dreams too - my latest one is about a girl from work who turns out to be an alien and punches me in the face. Um, whhaaaa? Apparently, I need to stop eating before going to sleep.
You're going to be great at school, I just know it.
And .01 deals, huh? I need to go find them. Are they just for teachers?
not just for teachers, but general public has a much smaller limit
