Here we go

Students come back on Tuesday. I have been so busy with school related activities last week that I haven't spent the time needed on my syllabus, etc. I was able to work that out this weekend and feel a lot better. I still need to put a few more documents together but have waited until the last minute and I hope there isn't a line a mile long to the copier...or worse, it breaks down.

I also start another grad class tomorrow (an online class) but there is a group session tomorrow night that I wasn't anticipating. There are around 6 group meetings during the length of the class, but when I signed up for online, I wasn't prepared for having to be on campus. This will work out because Danny is awesome, but having to work through my Type A "not prepared for this" is the hardest part! Oh to be someone that can "go with the flow" and not have to plan so much to feel at ease with the situation.

I also signed up to teach Ty's Sunday School class during the month of September. It's not much work at all, but saying one more thing that I am responsible for makes me realize the power of the word "no". I need to learn to say that word a little more!

Here's a goodie: If you like the photo books from Shutterfly.com (which I do!!!) then you can get one for free if you order it by Wednesday. Enter the code SUMMERBOOK and you will only have to pay shipping (around $8) for a 20 page 8x8 book. They make great gifts or cool keepsakes!

Dad keeps jabbing me about the fact that he has the whole summer off (and other holidays) and I only have a few weeks during the year. But reading about all the stress you teachers have to get ready for each school year - not sure it's worth the whole summer!!
