What to do?

Ty has been with his sitter since he was 12 weeks old (she has basically raised him and spent more time with him than I have over the last several years) and this is his last official week as a part of her daycare. He will be starting a daycare/preschool center on August 10th because he has a late birthday and is not old enough for kindergarten this year. So, I feel that I should honor our sitter for all that she has done for our family but I'm not quite sure how. I don't want to spend a ton of money (which is probably what I should spend to equal how grateful I am for the wonderful job she has done) but I don't want it to look like I shopped from the dollar section of Target either. I am toying around with an idea, but don't want to share and influence your ideas. I would like to give this to her on Friday, so any ideas would be appreciated. BTW, she doesn't like flowers....

Spa package...that would be an awesome gift in my opinion. Plus, if she runs a daycare, girlfriend needs some pampering!!

My vote is for a message gift certificate!

That would be massage....not message! I'm a horrible speller.

I was thinking spa kind of thing too and you could keep her kids on a Saturday for her to go....and if you wanted to add to that, throw in a gift card to somewhere that does good, easy take out for her to pick up dinner on the way home

I like MadHatter's idea - the spa package plus a meal. It could be a home cooked meal, but I know that when I was going through the surgery and radiation, not having to worry about what was I going to make for dinner really helped.

We just left our daycare too. It's sad.
