because I haven't posted in a very long time. I admit that I have been reading posts (all of them actually!) but haven't taken the time to write anything. Julie - I'm honored that you're checking on me! Let's see what I can catch you up on!
I have been busy with my teaching but most of my computer time at night is taken up by my graduate work. I am going to finish my masters this summer!!!!! I took an online class during the Fall semester and I'm currently taking a little 2 hour elective online class, but I start again in the classroom on Monday for the Spring semester. All that's left is 3 hours of electives and my final project...can't wait!
Ty is loving pre-K but we are not loving the words that he is trying out. How do you think it feels to pick your child up from school and be told that he said "stinky a**" and also pinched his teacher in the same day??????? We are at a loss because when his behavior is bad, it is really bad. His teacher recommended a star-chart system and we put it into place that night at home. It seems to work a little as we can say "remember your chart" when his behavior escalates. I know there is no perfect option because Danny and I really just want the bad behavior to just go away. Santa, are you listening?
I also made a crazy choice to join our school's version of The Biggest Loser last week. We weighed in using the wrestling scale...I said the entire wrestling program at our school is a sham because the scale is sooooooo wrong! The rules stipulate that if you lose at least 1 pound over the break then we get 1/2 of our entry fee of $10 back. Ummmmm, I am surrounded by all kinds of goodies, pies, cheese balls, casseroles and how in world am I supposed to lose 1 lb? I guess that I could eat nothing but lettuce and Corn Pops all next week.

Glad to have you back! As far as the weighing....only indulge every other day and on the "on" day only splurge at one meal. Or you could do the super detox colon cleanse 2 days before going back.

Note: If you want to lose weight don't start running. I haven't budged an ounce since I started... which SUCKS!! : P
AND my hips and knees hurt. Not worth it!!
