Danny worked hard over the last few days putting Ty and Katie's new swing set together. As he just said, he is still trying to rehydrate! I think we picked the hottest weekend for him to spend hours in the sun, even though the makers of this kit advertise it as something like 'buy and play in one day'. True, but Danny was a one-man show, so his motto is 'buy and play in 2 days'. Ty is thrilled and our many little neighbors are equally thrilled! Today was inauguration day for the set and we had 7 little ones (including Ty and Katie) testing it out. Kudos to Danny for building this swing set solid and sturdy. You could huff and puff and this thing ain't moving!

I can't get over how big ty and katie are getting. The picture of Ty with scissors makes him look so grown up!
the paranoid part of me wonders if you made the neighboorhood kiddies sign releases before they played!! Whatever happened to the days of riding your bike with no helmet and coming home after dark??

i love it - and im proud of you for doing it yourselves... i saw one at a store and pointed it out to kevin recently and said - "you can put that together for polly in a few years." he grumped. i followed that with, "or we could have dad and uncle trey over for dinner and they could help." "we don't want to destroy three marriages," he said.
so yea you all! you proved it could be done!
