What day is it?

I actually had to ask myself that this morning. I had a little class on Monday morning and I have another one on Friday...I wasn't sure if today was Friday. Really. I had to run upstairs to check the date on my watch, and then I remembered that yesterday was Wednesday because that was the day someone came and picked up the crib. Oh the trials of being a teacher during summer break. The house is always much cleaner in the summer and I usually rearrange the furniture a few times!

Did anyone notice that I said "picked up the crib"? Katie is now in a toddler bed and doing great! We didn't put Ty in a toddler bed because we weren't going to buy an extra piece of furniture...he just went right to a full size mattress that we already had. Our neighbors offered up their toddler bed and it fit our schedule perfectly. I wanted to get Katie out of the crib this summer and we haven't had any issues yet. We keep the gate locked at the top of the stairs because at one point, I know that Katie will get up during the night and start wandering around.

Both kids have swimming lessons next week (during different sessions) and Ty will be going to Bible School. This is really the first time that I have had to schlep them around to their functions. Usually they are along for the ride for where I want to go. We are also going on a trip to Gatlinburg later this summer and that should be fun! Everyone on my side of the family is going, including my grandmother. Fudge, Christmas shops, Putt putt, aquariums, Dollywood....
